Monitoring as the common thread of your energy policy
Successfully navigating through the energy transition asks for a structural policy concerning energy and sustainability. The length of this success relies for a large part on the quality of the information which is at hand. A policy which is not based on facts and figures is a policy without a purpose, cannot be evaluated and will not render the required effect. It is therefore essential to gain and keep insight in all the energy flows of your organization. Energy monitoring therefore runs like a thread through a successful energy policy.

The importance of reliable data
An important feature of the energy monitoring platform ErbisOne is that it can collect an infinite amount of data from all possible energy sources. More about this is my last blog post! In ErbisOne the data is then processed into valuable information, which you can use to shape, follow and adjust your energy policy. Taking care this data is translated the right way into reliable information is essential to the results. Missing or incorrect data leads to unreliable information and are therefore not a good bases for a responsible energy policy. To prevent this, the Data Management Center of ErbisOne is focused on providing optimal data quality.

The Data Management Center
In the Data Management Center all data that is imported by ErbisOne is monitored continually. A team of data specialists check and validate the incoming data flows. Besides the knowledge and experience of our specialists, smart techniques and algorithms are used. Besides ensuring the data quality, the Data Management Center also provides guarding alarms for your energy consumption. The alarm settings concerning energy consumption, production, basic load, etcetera which are set together with the client, are continuously monitored. When an alarm is triggered, you as a client will be informed by the data management center.

Data validation & control
Every second more then 750 meter readings are processed into ErbisOne. All this data is checked (semi-)automatically for completeness, so we check if all the data is really coming in. If data is not coming in, our data specialists will do anything to resolve this. Also, missing data are (temporarily) filled in by using data-interpolation, so the influence on your reports is minimalized. 

Collected data is checked and validated in multiple ways. For example we check if the received data is reliable. We check this by looking at things like 0-consumption and norm exceedance.

Your data quality in one overview
The ErbisOne portal continuously keeps you informed of the current state of your data quality. In the user friendly dashboard you can see in one overview how many variables contain errors and which errors are found. The dashboard then gives you the possibility to further zoom in on the found errors and deviations. Below you can see an example of the data validation dashboard in the ErbisOne portal.
